Day 1, everyone had a device in their hands and it was great. Did I get 100% of my THINK method on Day 1? No, but I'm hoping as I continue my goals and implement the (True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary and Kind) feedback to all my students that eventually we will get there. It was more important for me to emphasize the use of the Chromebook and/or BYOD devices as a tool to help us learn more efficiently and not just a computer/smartphone. I hope I did that.
With yesterday, August 19th being the first day of school for the 2015-2016 school year, I showed my video to get ready for google apps for education. It was a hit, but naturally dead silence in classroom when I asked if anyone had questions. Students seemed relieved to have a paperless classroom and yet I'm wondering, "Are they really ready for this"? I guess only time will tell.
